Two communities in Hamilton have been selected as pilot project sites for the INHALE Hamilton initiative. Efforts are well underway to collect neighbourhood air pollution data in the Jamesville / Beasley area. We are also looking for new volunteers to help with data collection in the Sherman and Crown Point Hubs.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to get involved with Neighbourhood Air Monitoring Walkabouts during August in the Beasley Neighbourhood. We will be holding walkabouts that take us through areas of Beasley where we haven't yet collected enough air quality data. Join us on a walkabout and you'll learn how to use a compact air particulate monitor. Consider signing up today. Walkabouts are being scheduled on weekday mornings starting at 10am. Simply register on-line as a volunteer and you will receive a response that asks whether you are interested in going on a walkabout. We'll follow up with an email response that invites you to complete a poll indicating your availability for a walkabout! This will enable us to confirm a date and time.
INHALE Hamilton is a project of Environment Hamilton.
