INHALE Project at the 2015 Complete Streets Forum

On October 1st, the 2015 Complete Streets Forum brought together a range of stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities for building complete streets - which included academics, urban planners, health experts, community organizations, pedestrian and cyclist advocates. The INHALE Project led a unique afternoon workshop titled “Taking it to the Streets: Using Citizen Science to Advocate for Great Streets.”

Summer Outreach in Toronto

This summer, we’ve been connecting with many community groups in the South Etobicoke area, from youth groups, to parent groups, to local groups working towards clean air solutions. INHALE Toronto enjoyed the beautiful weather this past Saturday by hosting the 2nd Toronto air monitoring walkabout. New volunteers joined us as we walked down Birmingham St and along the Lakeshore with portable air monitors, exploring the air quality in a portion of the New Toronto neighbourhood.

A stroll on James St. North

On Saturday, May 23rd, I (Mitchell Blau, INHALE Intern and ex-Dustbuster), Lynda Lukasik, and three eager volunteers (our fourth was in a stroller and mostly eager for snacks!) set out on a James St. North walkabout. Our mission: to amble about under sun and blue skies and talk about air quality in Hamilton’s Jamesville Neighbourhood.
